PlayStation Home is a social virtual world for the PlayStation 3 Console Announced at the 2007 Game Developers Conference, Sony’s PlayStation Home allows users to design and dress an avatar, create their own virtual apartment for their avatar, and even have virtual pets. Within Home, you can interact with other PlayStation 3 Console users, from anywhere in the world PlayStation Home also includes interactive games within its own environment, provides meeting places for many PS3 multiplayer games, enables you to host virtual parties, and offers you the chance to experience exclusive virtual events

PlayStation Home is a free service for all Sony PlayStation 3 console owners, available via the PlayStation Network. Every user in Home is represented by their own avatar, rendered in realistic 3D graphics. The Square features and gives access to other public spaces, which can be used by Sony and PlayStation partners for interactive exhibitions, games, virtual events or just places to meet and chat with PlayStation Home users You can add any other users you meet in public spaces to your Friends List - then you can check the status of those users in your Friends List to see when they are on PlayStation Home. You can invite anyone in your Friends List to come over to visit your Home Space. Your Home Space apartment can be personalised with your own choice of decoration and furnishings...

Home Theatre is a virtual cinema where users can watch movie trailers, game features, and other video content in a 3D environment on huge virtual screens. The main Game Space features the Bowling Alley, pool tables, video screens, dart boards, and a video game arcade. Sony and other developers have also created various Game Spaces dedicated to & themed around specific game titles. These spaces often have mini-games and other interactive elements Spaces are also developed to serve as a virtual venue covering a real world event: E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo), Leipzig Game Convention, etc.
